Hi, I’m Brett, a designer here at Light My Bricks. I’ve always loved Batman films, from the classics to the modern adaptations—and I’m a big fan of the LEGO® Batman games too! So, getting the chance to design a light bundle for the Batman Forever Batmobile was really fun. I’ve previously worked on the LEGO® The Animated Series Gotham City™ set and The Classic TV Series Batmobile™, and I couldn’t wait to bring some neon energy to this iconic version of the Dark Knight’s ride.

Lighting Inspiration

The Batman Forever Batmobile is unlike any other on-screen version, with its biomechanical styling and glowing blue highlights. To recreate that distinctive look, I started with an 11 LED Light Blue string light that runs straight through the center of the car. This allows the trans-blue plates to shine with a steady glow, perfectly capturing the film’s otherworldly neon aesthetic.

For the front end, I installed two Astro Micro Warm White lights in the headlights to give the Batmobile a sharp, powerful beam. Moving inside, the cockpit’s central console is powered by an Astro Rotating String Light in Cool White, designed to simulate energy flowing through the vehicle’s systems. Finally, at the rear of the car, I used two Astro Large Flickering Orange lights to create a fiery jet-engine effect—bringing all the raw power and performance of the Batmobile to life.

The end result is a model that feels alive with energy, glowing with the same iconic look that made it unforgettable on screen.

Feature Highlights

Neon Core Glow

One standout feature of this lighting design is undoubtedly the Light Blue string light that runs the full length of the vehicle. By weaving it through the Batmobile’s spine, every transparent blue plate and biomechanical rib captures the glow, just like in Batman Forever. It creates a seamless neon effect that makes the entire build look like it’s pulsing with energy—an essential detail for fans who want an authentic display piece.

Flickering Jet Engine

No Batmobile would be complete without its roaring jet engine—and for this build, that power is brought to life with two Astro Large Flickering Orange Lights. Installed at the rear of the vehicle, these LEDs create a pulsing, fiery effect that perfectly mimics the raw energy of the Batmobile’s thrusters. The flicker adds motion and drama, making the car feel like it’s ready to tear down the streets of Gotham at any moment. Combined with the cool blue glow running through the vehicle’s body, the contrast gives the Batmobile a truly cinematic presence.
