The lighting kit LMB have made for the HP Hogsmeade Village set really adds a moody dimension to the model, particularly the lighting for the Honey Dukes shop front windows.
We got this kit because we included this model in our Christmas Winter Village setup (that is fully lit up) as it fits in to the rustic feel fairly nicely without being obviously different.
Installing this kit was a nightmare though, and this isn't the fault of LMB - the Hogsmeade Village model is fragile. You really have to be careful where you put pressure and where you pinch cables because it's too easy for parts of the model to "explode" under pressure, be it your hands or two bricks coming apart from the LED lead.
I decided to change some of the routing of cables compared to what was suggested in the instructions to get around these issues. Thankfully there's a fair bit of empty void space behind panels in this model that make it relatively easy to hide chunks of cables, or to go wide with runs and run individual cables between their own studs instead of trying to keep them together.
The included light post with pre-threaded LED is nice, and necessary since the original Lego part isn't hollow to pull a cable through. Now thinking about buying more of these as it looks much cleaner and neater than twisting the lead around the pole to the base as done in previous models.
